Synopsis and detail

Hunger and violence were eradicated from Earth, as well as the planet's climatic problems have been resolved. These achievements were won thanks to alien beings known as souls, which occupy human bodies as if they were parasites. Preaching a society based on peace, the souls they persecute the few humans that have not yet been dominated. One of them is Melanie Stryder (Saoirse Ronan), who sacrifices himself so that his younger brother, Jamie (Chandler Canterbury), can escape. Melanie becomes dominated by a soul called a pilgrim, who's mission is to scour their memories to find traces of other humans. However, awareness of Melanie is still alive inside the body, which causes a Pilgrim has to deal with her constantly. Over time, the soul becomes increasingly fascinated with the life and the feelings that Melanie had to protect her from Finderscope (Diane Kruger), who want to capture their human friends as soon as possible.
