Synopsis and detail

Metro City is a gleaming metropolis, whose location is in the sky. That's where Dr. Tenma (Nicolas Cage) creates Astro Boy (Freddie Highmore), in order to replace the son she lost. Astro Boy possesses extraordinary powers, being endowed with the best human characteristics. After being kicked out for failing to meet the expectations generated by Tenma, Astro Boy must learn to live like a robot and accept the fact of not being human. He is being chased by troops of President Stone (Donald Sutherland), who wants to take the power source that Astro Boy carries within itself. To escape, he falls to Earth. Confused and do not understand the new reality, he decides to pass for human along with a group of street children.
