Synopsis and detail

In Edge City lives Stanley Ipkiss (Jim Carrey), a decent guy who works in a bank but is socially awkward and without much success with women. After one of the worst days of his life, he feels at sea the strange mask of Loki, a Scandinavian god. When Stanley puts the mask on, turns into the Mask, a being with the green face that has the courage to do things more risky and fun that Stanley fears do, including flirting with Tina Carlyle (Cameron Diaz), the beautiful and sexy singer who performs at the Coco Bongo, the disco of the moment. The Mask has superhuman speed and an unconventional humor and, in the meantime, the gangster Dorian (Peter Greene) Tyrrell, who has been dating Tina, strives to destroy the Mask and takes the mask to use his powers for evil.
