Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.) is a billionaire industrialist, who is also a brilliant inventor. While being kidnapped he is forced by terrorists to build a devastating weapon but, instead, build a high-tech armor that allows escape from captivity. From then on he starts to use it to fight crime, under the alter-ego of iron man.
